Higuera Studios has always had a special interest in using new technologies for children's education, focusing on the development and in-depth research on the educational needs of children.

It has always been a priority for us to delve into the development and research on the educational needs of children, so we set out to create products that help children relate to or recognize danger, as well as learn about their territory and that's why we created interactive applications that help them in their cognitive abilities.

AXEL’S CHAIN REACTION

This story is about a child artist who suffers from bullying and intimidation. This Ebook works tolerance, creativity, and metaphorically the causes and effects of desitions in life, and how they create a chain reaction, like those created by famous kinetic artists that are part of the ebook. 

In 2017-2018 the Colombian government through the Ministry of Technologies and COLCIENCIAS (Entity in charge of promoting scientific research and the development of new technologies of the Colombian government) financed a new application based on the story of the original AppBook Chain Reaction by Axel, with the purpose of improving inclusion in schools.

Project - Axel for School Inclusion:

This is a special version application developed for Artic Media SAS in Colombia, which acquired the rights to the intellectual property of Axel's Chain Reaction for the design of a multiplatform software product, based on the concept, characters, original story, and universe of Axel's Chain Reaction. This helped to conceive a professional application for school inclusion, developed with the support of Colciencias and the ICT Ministry of Colombia, which works as a learning and practice guide for parents, health professionals, and teachers who have a child or a student with autism, there they find information about this condition, strategies to understand and manage the different behaviors of the condition.

The product also functions as a professional tool for monitoring cases, facilitating the registration of patients or students, in addition to associating the different activities carried out according to the signs of the identified condition.

Safe Steps – Video Game for teaching in MRE (Mine Risk Education):

Educational video game for the prevention of risk by antipersonnel mines, created for the teaching of children at the national level. It has a progress control system, objectives, and recognitions. HS Developed all the resources and developed the software applications in their different versions (Desktop and Mobile).

Project - Kindery Universe:

This project has come a long way and received several awards. Developed for Toys to Tell SAS, a company associated with the H3 group of companies, it has the support of Wayra Colombia and the ICT Ministry of Colombia. It looked forward for the design, creation, and launch of interactive and educational content for the promotion of reading and writing in children. During 2014 it was championed by the national government as best Colombian mobile app of that year and had several awards inside and outside the country,

Project - Natuvia :

This is an educational mobile and desktop application for the Colombian Ministry of Technology and the Ministry of Culture and Computers for Education, co-produced with Artic Media SAS; designed and prototyped for the strengthening of regional and cultural knowledge of agricultural products produced in Colombia, local production processes, climates, and local thermal floors.

This game mixes the culture of the regions with the details of the products that are grown there and the necessary conditions to do so in the midst of missions that the child must complete throughout his journey through the Caribbean region of Colombia.

CROANAK – Educational Video Game Multiplatform:

This video game was financed and developed as part of the government's IT-supported education strategy and a massive plan to bring tablets and computers to public schools, through the alliance between the Ministry of Technologies and the Ministry of Culture of Colombia. The video game teaches children about the physical and chemical properties of water using physics puzzles during game experiences, managing to bring complex concepts to children along with a high-impact environmental message.
